I tinkered some more...solved the exploding stones by using the (2) distance shaders with less brute force and ignorance, and more logic and (hopefully) finesse! increased the density of vegetation and added an extra population - (thanks to Klas and Big Ben!) centre 'druid' stone dl'd from turbosQuid...modified surface shader with two image maps and a power fractal, minor pw=levels/colour+saturation/exposure and jpegged...once again, thanks for taking time to view/comment/and/or/critique as these are always welcome and appreciated! btw this renderd in nearly double the time of the previous version, I think I will lay off the grass(es) for a while
