Thanks to RAcher (Ryan Archer) for his 'Golden Forest' tutorial for leading me towards creating this image. And, thanks to Walli for the fine pine tree models here. Larger would be better; but, gotta sell an organ before I get more memory and 64 bit Windows 7.

Very nice image. Looks slightly like the cabin is too low and sinking into the ground a tad, especially near the cartwheel?

looking real nice Bob!, when I made my cabin image I actually used a small population area, and added the cabin as a population (on a flattish area of the terrain), this way I could ensure easily that the cabin would sit nicely on the terrain, the only downside was controlling the direction the cabin was facing, it was not so important, as I could easily move the camera, as the terrain was flattish in that area, dont know if that helps?...I love the blue sky here also, cheers

It's a nice POV. I think some ground cover, either grass or detritus of some sort would finish it nicely.

Nice scene. My only critique would be that the scale of the dirt clumps is too large for the scale of the cabin and the trees. It makes it look like a miniature model of a cabin.

Really nice place there Bob! Makes one want to take a break from life and go have a quiet sit for a few weeks in the deep woods. Very, Very Nice!!!!!
