Just to be in the presence of such giants would be fantastic. It's a shame that there don't seem to be any decent models of redwoods (correct me if I'm wrong!) - perhaps they're just too large and complex to model convincingly?

And to think they cut down most of these for wood...Only a fraction of the old growth remains today and it's going to take thousands of years literally to partially recover (if allowed). You have to be there to believe the size of these. You will feel so small.

Pine trees are never second in terms of height!!! I always found them beautifully majestic!!!!

I used to live in the near of Schwarzwald in Germany in my childhood ( In Niederramstadt near Darmstadt). There was everywhere forests. Here where i live now aren't any.

I would love to see this woods. Think of a treehouse on this

This made me smile JimB. Times are really changing. Ten years ago you had not make such a remark.
In İstanbul i saw ones a writing : You can find soil here.  I looked at my environment and then i realised there wasn't realy any soil. Yes it was a flower shop.
But it was sad and strange. And this strangenes is growing every year. We really should protect what is left
