I think you should limit the render resolution to 640x480 or 800x600

that way they wont be all night renders and they would be easier to render also...

I might try but i'm pretty busy with my own little exparment right now ( oh and i'm stil playing with you .tgd I have narrowed it down to being somthing to doe with either the fractil or the heightfeild.

I used 2 of the same layers, but with one having reflectivity added on top.  Then I adjusted the max altitude numbers for it.
