It really would be an amazing view! Unfortunately I am not skilled enough to be an astronaut or rich enough to buy myself a ticket to space :'(

i really like the small wispy/twirly clouds in the bottom half of the picture, you did a great job with those.

Good question.  Also is it entirely procedural, controlled via paint shaders or made using image map masks?

thanks again.

the clouds are entirely procedural. There is no motion blur. It's not a nvseal planet: I'm not awfully good at planets, hence the clouds are covering it all, an otherwise standard grey planet sphere ;)
