I cannot believe this has passed me by for so long. So I open an old Wired magazine from 2005 and it contains an article on this Star Trek original series fan project - putting together the episodes that never happened, the last two years of the original mission. This is not some amateur fan bash from people having fun with a cheap video camera. This is an impressive undertaking. Industry professionals, actors from the original series and TNG, original props. Cost hundreds of thousands so far plus all the donated time. Simply amazing.  Long live Star Trek! http://www.startreknewvoyages.com

Been watching since it started.  I like the way they acknowledge the Star Fleet Battles universe (board Game) as well. Cheesey acting makes you feel right at home!
