I've been hanging out in the chat, and working on this. This is a default Full Render at 800 x 600.

It really needs higher resolution and AA.

And Max quality on the plants. To my eye, the sun could be a little softer too. Keep it coming!

I was just over on the NWDA chat. FrankB and Martin both commented that it needs more fill light. I bumped up the detailsettings and did a partial render. I agree. Tweak, tweak, tweak...

I think a simple 3 point fill setup of suns would do a nice job, about 0.25 strength. But, as Frank said, you really need GI to take things to the next level.

I really need a new computer to take advantage of the GI in TG again, I rarely do a full final render with GI anymore due to limitations of my machine, I just can't afford the time it takes on this old beast.

Most of my renders for about the last 6-7 months haven't used GI at all, I've even found ways around it when using clouds. Still, I'd like to be able to crank the GI up again. :(

Nice scene setting. AA about 8 would do it wonders.(9 is a strange number, Frank, that I wouldn't normally use for AA, although, it'd look better, of course. ;))

An AA of 6 seems to work ok with images at 1920 x _ _ _ _ .    I use a paint program to clean up if needed.

Here is the final version. I used Mr. Lamppost's grasses and bushes. I also used Walli's pines and ferns.

I did some post work in Corel Paint X2. It seemed too bright and a little out of focus. With this old monitor, it may look worse than the straight render. Another experiment...
