I have never seen a Budda that sits directly on the ground. I think he needs a platform of some kind. It's a great object. The terrain is good. I've seen you do better. It's a good start. It's better to test out an object first, than to get the terrain finished first. One, it gives you an idea of how long the object will take to render. Two, as FrankB says, there is never a finished image.
I look forward to the 'final' render. I think it will be one of your best.

thanks, getting the terrain to do what i want, where I want is difficult, there are no easy solutions, for the time being I will leave the displacements as is...changing some details as we speak, still not 100%, will keep you posted!
cheers

The objects are working better in this one. I took a good look at it on the TV (better color and contrast). Budda may look good sitting on a 'hero' rock. The geese are a very nice touch.

I was just going to suggest the same thing. Looking good so far. IDEA! Why don't you borrow Frankb's Hero Rock, change the color to match your scene, sink it about 1/2 way into the soil then sit Buddha on top of it? I'd also move Buddha to the left about a 1/3 of the way in from the left frame. Just suggestions of course.
