more, hmm ok well I do want it to be fairly realistic Cyber-Angel what do you know on early-stage Protoplanetary rings? You (as always) seem to know somthing on the topic)

All I know is that, at that stage, a lot of stuff is going to flying around the solar system. However, if fusion has started in the protostar(s), a lot of stuff will have been blasted away by the solar wind...

I was wondering what you guys thought about the rock size in the last render, do you think it should be bigger, smaller, or stay the same?

oh and thanks for all the comments  ;D

The world is round... so you have to use spherical projection.

Dark Fire

I'd say they should be slightly bigger - just so they are more visible...

Will

Bigger? Ok ill give it a try.

Ooh, wow! I can really see the fractal nature of the fractals in that...

By the way, nice colour - it looks really realistic (or at least it looks like what I think the surface of a newly formed planet should look like)...

old_blaggard

Yeah, great job with the pattern.  Is this using the perlin billows function?

What a cool planet. I would try to give more colours variations to the lava shader...a bit of orange and yellow spots, other then that the image looks great.
Cheers

Will
