Is there any benefit?  I mean if you know how to get around your system, is this better, or just cute?

It doesn't really "unlock" anything, it just puts it on one page. I saw this a couple of weeks ago and to be honest I knew where everything was so it's not particularly needed. It's good if you don't know your way around windows though.
