From that article Kadri:

"Microsoft, normally keen to discuss business opportunities with the press,
is no longer answering basic questions about China and declined to comment on Friday."

What makes that part even more interesting, is the fact that Microsoft said it was a problem with IE8, cough cough and yes 7, well since we are on topic, as a matter of fact 6 as well, that left the door wide open for China to start this whole mess.  Message people message:  USE FIREFOX please ....  " lets all avoid WWIII over bad coding and poor security."   ;)

EDIT: Timing is everything!  FF 3.6 was released today.  Update away!!

I am with you on this Matrix2003 , but i think the wrath of mass adoption is slowly coming to Firefox (ı use it) .
As it was the underdog there was no problem . But in time we will see many outcry's and the plugin architecture and other sides of Firefox will be misused .
But for now  it is not so bad on this side  :)

And i have a feeling that in this Google-China thing are other factors we don't know yet . I can not believe that Google will trow so much money so easily away .
I am not so much a political man as it sounds ; only realistic .

Edit: Whoops! Saw your edit. Thanks  :)

Cheers.

Kadri.
