I finalized my swamp cypresses, and tried to upload to NWDA or my own website, but the files are just too big. So here's the alternative. Be quick to download, they will probably only last a week!!!
Two different cypresses, and some knees, in three zip files to be downloaded from these links:

I had them sized at 3, which is quite good I think. One of the trees has an additional setup to control mosses, darkened (or wet, if you child-attach a reflective shader) trunk up to a certain height. Internally to be adjusted to the height at which your trees will be rooted.

Have fun!

These look good. And you say you can't model objects! You're actually better at it than you think. 8)

Dune,

These are looking real nice. I like the fact you can control the moss and reflectivity. Very thoughtful creation.

Thanks a lot for sharing these!

If you're interested in making them available in a more permanent repository, you can add them to the database at www.terragen.org. We accept uploads up to 100MB.

@old_blaggard: Well, Frank offered to add them to the NWDA store from the hind door (they were just too big to upload), so they'll be available longer. Thanks anyway, good to know. Although I sometimes wondered why there are two fora for TG related stuff. I hardly ever visit terragen.org, as this forum is already taking quite some time.

It's good to know that they'll still be available in some fashion.

Terragen.org was around before this forum was, so when the official Planetside forum opened, it did indeed lose some exclusivity. At this point, it's a forum with a somewhat more casual atmosphere than this one. Additionally, our file hosting capabilities make it a good place to upload TG-related files to share with others.

An image built around the two swamp cypresses, and a couple of knees. I added some floating algy, two extra lights plus GI:1/1/2, and soft shadows at default. Here's the whole image.

Very nice. I appreciate the work involved in this scene.

Very spooky looking.  All that's missing is a bogman (bigfoot).
