I think what Matt means is that the instances will move , not that it will causes different populated instances . You will get moving trees for example .

Sure, but I considered the seed something similar to a fractal, blended by the area of the population. So moving the blendshader/area would not move the seed-fractal.
Apparently it behaves indeed like a paper with points on it.
Like I said, still, I find it awkward that that's the way it works.

I don't know this things very good , but i think moving the center of the seed is like offsetting the fractals . The fractals would be moving too .
If that makes sense anything  :)
