"Idle" processor utilization
February 24, 2007, 02:21:19 PM
Speaking of processes, I just opened TG2 and changed the processor affinity just to see what would happen, and I noticed that the CPU utilization for TG2 is hanging at around 50% (before changing any affinity settings). Anyone know what it's doing with those cycles while you're not doing anything in the program? Is it refreshing the display?

I'm not sure what its doing but since the coding is not yet optimized there is a lot of CPU usage. ( Yea I know that didn't really help you any)

There is currently a bug that results in lots of CPU usage even when TG2 isn't doing anything. Also, when it's opened at first, it has to generate the preview for the default scene, which is why it uses lots of CPU power right away.
