No, not weed.  These objects are supposed to be pretty good, but I wonder if anyone here has tried importing them into TG2.  Not that we need to.  Just wondering.

So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?

I've imported grass and other plant objects exported from Maya without a problem.  I can't say I've purchased any grass though :)

I'm not sure that I'd buy grass.  There are plenty of free models online and you can always make your own: http://forums.planetside.co.uk/index.php?topic=769.0
And a bit of surfacing goes a long way: http://forums.planetside.co.uk/index.php?topic=933.0

I may be crazy but at least I'm not crazy!

This is true and your assistance is great in this area.  I wasn't intimating that we could do better; just different.

Quite possibly.  I've used these in all of my "grassy" posts

Apologies if I seemd a little too cynical (I can do that from time to time, but it wasn't intended here).
Choice is always good too  :)

If you download the the 3ds files of these, here is some advice on using Poseray to convert them to stable obj which will open and render with out crashing, I just copied it from my other post if it sounds familiar,  "Poseray does a great job of converting 3ds files to obj, which open and render without crashes, BUT, you have to make 2 changes in Poseray's groups tab, under the faces, vertices and normals tab, first click Drop y = 0, and then to the right of that under scale and rotation reference point click origin, then all that needs to be done is click the green check mark to update the file before exporting as an object.
If you don't do this all the objects, or at least the ones I have experimented with, will be about half submerged in the surface.

I tried opening the 3ds files in Wings 3D, and nothing appears.  The files are quite old and will need some polishing up I guess...
