Enjoy this one. I'll be in surgery tomorrow morning to fix two hernias. Should be back in business Monday or Tuesday.

Ant model by Marc McGebhardt. Sand/dust/rocks by Seth; and, the cracks by dandelO. Plants by Walli. This is the first version. I'll have a better one (I think) when I get back.

Wow, I really like this!

Good luck with your surgery.  Hopefully you'll still be able to do some renderin' while on the mend.   :)

All the best for you.... good luck !!

Good to see you find time between hanging curtains and going under the knife to come up with a great render.

Talk to you soon.

Cool work Bob, really like it :) The ants are big giant-ish indeed :)

A revision here includes:

•   A higher sun.
•   Increased size of vegetation.
•   Additional ants using revised file.

These interesting little creatures work as if controlled by one mind. You must see this video:  World's Largest Ant Hill http://www.metacafe.com/watch/2381967/worlds_biggest_ant_hill_amazing/

Enjoy,

domdib

The lighting is excellent - very subdued colours. Are there clouds in the sky?

Thanks for asking Franck, it went quick; but, the pain is a killer. Today, I still get twinges like I'm being stabbed - but, the doc says it should be pretty much healed by next week. He takes out the staples Friday. Full recovery is six to eight weeks.
