I finally got around to finishing the Rhino. If you followed my first Rhino string (http://forums.planetside.co.uk/index.php?topic=9095.msg97128#msg97128) you will notice the model has gone through some radical changes. I hope they are better changes. I did something different when I unwrapped the Uvs which provided a cleaner export of the textures. There should be little or no texture smearing.

The file is rather large to improve detail for the displacement. The .zip file contains: Rhino.tgo 24mb (two versions) , RhinoCOLOR Map 7.44mb, RhinoDISP Map 8.55mb.

There are two .tgo files. One is a high res model and one is low res. The low res has some rather sharp transitions on curved surfaces, but will work very well for distant shots. If you would like the .obj  files just email me and I will provide them for you. marcgebhart1@mac.com

You can download the Rhino here 29.7mb: http://www.terragen.org/index.php?action=tpmod;dl=item566

Software Used:

3DS MAX 2010 – The modeling started in MAX.

Blender 2.5 Alpha 2 – I used Blender to finish up the original model created in 3DS Max (I'm learning Blender 2.5 Alpha 2 build 29159. You can download the latest build here: http://www.graphicall.org/builds/

Zbrush 3.5 – For creating sculpt detail and painting maps. Also, Map and Normal Map export

PoseRay 3.12.2 – Great Software -  http://mysite.verizon.net/sfg0000/

Terragen 2, version 2.1.18.1

NOTE: If I can find the time I will make a couple variations on the Color Map for variety. I'm moving to Dallas Texas within the next week so, I'm pretty swamped.

The squirrel-rhino is known to chase dogs out of their backyards. ;D
