Awesome! Cool animation on yesterdays APOD: http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap080525m.html
Congrats to the people at NASA! It's no easy feat by any standards, and hopefully it will serve to revitalize NASA's stagnant reputation.
btw... where is the blue sky ? :D
We could do this - http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/phoenix/images/press/false_color_postcard_edr.html
They already took some stones ? ;D

I wonder what impact that landing might have had on the surface, as far as jarring anything loose.
Or this could just be in some lab in Nevada...no, no...we're not going there. Are we?

some real good pics ^^
so any idea about this white thing ?
my guess its where the images don't line up completely, as you can see by looking closely its not one image but a composite of many.
Will, I would agree with you, but looking at the entire photo gives the impression that this would be a very odd instance of non-alignment.
strange isn't it ? :D
I believe this is a closer view! ::)

Oh your such a spaceball!

(the yellow "white layer" is original... i didn't write it)
Seth, I've read or heard something about ice having been found. But, I would need to see the article again. Off to search...
yes they did find ice but here the funny thing is that they just dig some centimeters and what do we see ? white layer...
it could mean that under the ground of Mars there is a lot of ice (so a lot of water)... and not only on the pole parts... but everywhere :)
Yet another Martian image website! :'(
This one has some cool stuff, including "dust devil" animations.
