Title: Columnar Rocks
Post by: mhaze on September 01, 2016, 02:07:07 PM
Use as you wish, not sure all tex cords to XYZ are really needed. not had time to check! Grass is Dunes file with minor mods. Fake stones a mess but you might find some useful stuff.  BTW the repeats cut down on stretching and add some nice extra shapes.

This is a wonderfully generous share mhaze. I do not question any of how you set this up, because the results are amazing.

My question is....In your surface layers, with some PF in building this you displace and in others you do not. Then you attach another PF etc...I try to watch what happens in the shader preview as I examine each one....

I don't suppose there is a simple explanation for this?

Thanks all

luvsmuzik, I use the surface shader as a general purpose tool.  For distribution displacement and connecting other shaders via the child input.

Weird, was playing with it yesterday and it kept crashing when populating the grass...and I only doubled it's area so it wasn't a lot.

Here is the example I mentioned in luvs topic about using fake stones. Also leaned cliff little more for overhang. Minor other adjustments.
