I like the desert render the best. It only needs a power fractal added to it for more coloring.

What settings did you use on the last image? Try increasing the atmosphere  settings to 48 or 64 samples in the quality tab. I would also increase the GI Enviro surface setting to 1.5. In the render tab change the GI sliders to 1, top and 3, bottom and check the GI checkbox. It's a nice image, but appears too dark.
