I started playing around with fake stones and eventually got inspired by Roger Dean's artwork. The arcs are made in 3ds max (displaced torus knots). Something I wanted to do for a long time.
Hope you like it.
8) ..........giant pretzels.
Very cool and how odd, I've had Roger Dean and Frank Frazetta on my brain all week,
I like it.
Wondrous!
YES, yours is no disgrace!
Fortunately the poor guy isn't too close to the edge! ;)
I really like this. It's reminiscent of seventies science fiction book covers, which were often stylized and used bright colors.
love this Hannes!
also loved Roger Dean, still have some calendars somewhere!
:)
the shapes are reminiscent of fossilised boats!
crazy and very cool stuff!
YES indeed!
;)

Tapes, what are those...LOL
Oh fantastic! Not a thing I'd change. :D
Not a big fan of the uber-orange in the foreground but those mammoth rock structures are fantastic!
Yeppers! :o
Ditto on YES and Roger Dean. Long time fan of both.
Cool image.

Some great warps on those stones! Especially the strata curving out. The worm temple on Arakis?
Thanks Jon!
Nope, nothing from the Dune series (sorry, Ulco! ;D)
I was just fooling around.
