I did some testing of a rock surface in ZBrush, but somehow got stuff messed up, like the UV maps. In other attempts when sculpting using spotlight, the depth didn't happen according to the lights/darks in the texture imported. I need to see more tuts, I suppose.
Anyway, here's some attempts, maybe of small use.
EDIT: the other tgo is just over 5000MB, so I can't post it.
This was too big for one post.
Interesting. Thx for sharing. Lets see w :)hat we can do with it...
Thanks for sharing Ulco.
No big deal, just some testrock. I have to try better some day.
Here's another one. I'm struggling to get really crisp displacement in ZB, trying to use a greyscale bumpmap for brushing in heights and using the same colored texture in spotlight to colorize. But the bump texture doesn't work as I anticipated, still too soft. So it's not perfect, but might be of use.
hmmm, gotta take em over to the other computer now...at least that one is now safe from the pirates and trojans of the net....Thanks Ulco.
Finally managed to get a decent rock in ZB, using Jochen's suggestion about inflating. Thanks, Jochen.
It's too big to post, however (6MB), sorry.
