Title: Okefenokee
Post by: alessandro on October 29, 2014, 06:08:00 PM
Render reproducing the Okefenokee swamp at sunset, with majestic bald cypresses on the background. The alligator resting on a fallen tree is a 3D model that I developed with ZBrush (http://www.alessandromastronardi.com/.../crocodilia-1-alliga.../ (http://www.alessandromastronardi.com/blog/portfolio/item/crocodilia-1-alligator/)).
Thanks for looking.

One of your best, I feel. I love the light, as I said on FB, particularly the way it touches the alligator. Very nicely done!

Now just freeze the swamp, put snow on the trees, and call it Iceland (at the zoo maybe? hehe) and you win NWDA's new contest. ;)

Great image! Having lived in Florida and Louisiana, I must say very realistic.  :o

Really beautiful subtle light with a subdued palette, a really fine render. The alligator/crocodile is positioned perfectly in the composition,  a wonderful image!
