Post by: starscue on August 09, 2018, 11:30:40 AM
I just got Terragen and i am interested if pros use it, is art created with it respected ?

Yes it is a "few clicks" program , but u still have to have some feeling to create something good...

Far from a few clicks program, I'd say. Terragen has been used in professional work from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, to Tron: Legacy in the past, and much more. What is true is there are not many professional TG artists.

Just take a look at the whole loooooong list of films where TG scenes featured. Most notably "Sucker Punch", "127 Hours", "Zootopia" and dozen more.

Bottom line, TG is respected as a solution for visuals.

I've made stuff that's been in documentaries and drama for Sky, BBC, NatGeo and so on. If it does a good enough job for the VFX studios, it's a tool they'll use.
