Title: The long way to Orakum II The standing guards
Post by: Agura Nata on June 03, 2018, 01:15:41 PM
The landscape was created by a fractal pattern also the cutout of the 3 large objects.
Terragen 4.1, Blender 2.79

"Orakum" is an important project for me, not only because of the mention in Digital Live Magazine, but because it has always been one of my stories about Dragon Land, which only a few know. Fractal beings and secret forces have always influenced this land.
Thus, the tradition tells that here are the ancient dragons, the founders of dragon land had their roots here. Those who are called the Ancients, the first stones laid in a hitherto unknown ritual that covers the whole country. It was fractal patterns that led to the birth of the fractal creatures that now populate this land, as well as the surreal land of Yurkanti.
It is a symbiosis of land and inhabitants, as the fractals absorb energy through the stones, but also release energy to protect the land.

one of your best....I really like the left facing swan/duck/goose in the clouds....guessing that's a "happy accident" Love your colours but i see them differently being colour blind so it's nice that a "normal" commented on them too. heh heh heh

Very good!
Somehow this remembers me to the metallic opposite of the stony "Shadow of the Colossus"

I didn't work up all the missed new renders since my health time out... sorry.
Perhaps you already have done it and I didn't see it. But I'd like to ask if you thought about to vary your renders with stony elements as variation to the metallic structures?  :)

I love rocky elements, as if the ancients had built this landscape a long time ago, with much effort and physical effort to leave behind us this vivid portrait of their creation.

New surreal tree!

"Sit next to my surreal tree friend"
The tree is from Blender and populated with ferns from DAZ.
I also designed the chair and the surreal object in Blender.
Rendered in Terragen 4.1

Yes, we have the week of the trees my friend!
I used to buy a lot of stuff from DAZ when I've been working a lot with Bryce 7 pro, but I want to have surreal trees, so far I'm still testing for a population.
Good luck to you, too, my friend in the tree week!

Of course, a few years ago my works with Bryce were not quite commonplace, smile :)

Based on Kadri's "Strata Outcropping" with modification from me, I have generated a landscape influenced by fractal patterns in Terragen 4.1

Unfortunately, you can only see a small part of the underground, because I wanted to be near the mountain. The background is created by a vector graphic, which in turn serves as a hightmap. These graphics are repeating patterns that blend with the fractal patterns of the Terragen shader. The result is a fractal structure that covers the whole country, in this picture you can see it better:

Orakum north II

The thin-walled glass sphere was provided with a fractal pattern.
The landscape is created by mixing an equally high red surface layer with a water pattern shader that I design.
I like the result with the slight reddish glow of the landscape below that comes from the surface layer :)
Render in Terragen 4.1

It's a bit a pity that the pattern of the left side spheres show some steps.

Yes, vector graphics for download often have a bad resolution, but it has pros and cons. As a flat surface beautiful changes in the pattern that make it natural, the Spheres are indeed meant only as a demonstration of the material.
For a beautiful Spehre you have to take a high-resolution graphics or create in Ps itself you can also change the repeat in the shader.
In the landscape you can even balance nicely with cracks.

In the Vue 2016 picture, I designed the vector graphic myself and the resolution is very high, it was nicely cut out.

This is a reflective surface not a sea, I love these smooth surfaces, if the object passes into itself, I should do in Terragen sometimes.

You should really do all the graphics yourself, but unfortunately it all takes time and then I can not do anything.
I built my favorite graphics as a 3D model in Blender, but not yet as a high-resolution graphic.
I think I render them in the top view in Blender as a black and white picture, that's enough for TG, lol ;)

"Best Friend"

Here I have provided my sphere of thin glass with two materials.
The whole thing is affected by 2 merge shaders which generate patterns by vector graphics.
The nodes are from the Sphere and the upper Lake layer

I designed the left object in Blender 3D.

The long way to Orakum III

The floating glass spheres are affected by 2 merge shaders which generate fractal patterns by vector graphics. I designed the Spheres in Blender 3D and the landscape was created by a fractal pattern and render in Terragen 4.2.10

"Orakum" is an important project for me because it has always been one of my stories about Dragon Land, which only a few know.

II built the gauge and the tube in Blender 2.79, and added and rendered the materials in Terragen 4.2.10.

It took longer to prepare the old gauge, set the mesh resolution in the curves, and then use New Objects. Especially with cylinder likes TG "Nygon" not and Boolean also helps only "Remesh" to get an even distribution and then it renders well in TG.

Some screws and brackets were added and a wire for the data

Steam Flow

The 2nd gauge is ready. Later, it all comes in a surreal Orakum landscape.
Now I take a break for a few days, because it was a bit too much for my brain.

I designed the objects in Blender.
Material and render in Terragen 4.2.10
On the left I added some steam in PS postwork.

My new project with the gauges is progressing well, here I have already designed the floating base for it.
Terragen and Blender

I love those surreal parts with rust best. The object consists of interlaced letters "I" which has been mirrored several times and then modified with curve and cast. Before with remesh edited to be able to bend it nicely. UV processing "New objects"

My new surreal project is progressing, gears with brackets and rump still need to be optimized in Blender for export to Terragen 4.2
I built everything from fonts except the gearbox.

It's going well with the steampunk project :)
The frame of iron and bronze with bracket, and the gearbox were revised in Blender, this came several hexagon bolts. Currently, the gears are made of copper and the rods are chrome with rust spots, in the end I'll see what fits best.
Render Terragen 4.2

You are a master at texturing for sure! New objects are just great!

Man's Inventions and Discoveries

I could do a whole dissertation on these images and objects! I know you will use them in your fantastic surreal compositions, but I truly appreciate the modelling skill and creativity involved. :)

I am very pleased your comment my friend!

This project actually gets longer and more elaborate than I thought, if I had known that, an extra thread would have been appropriate :)

Here the next Step of "Jandosch Gravisphere"

Yurkanti north

Today I still have a picture of Yurkanti a country similar to Orakum is found.
Objects: Sierpinski fractal meshexport from MB 3D, Makuhuman, Blender.
Render: Material and landscape in Terragen 4.

I hope soon again to be able to do new works in TG, at the moment I am busy with astronomy.
Yesterday came my second lens telescope, a very nice short telescope that you can quickly carry in the garden to the desired place.
Saturn, Mars and Jupiter with the Moons were nice to see last night.
The Adromedar Galaxy and the globular cluster M 13 in Hercules hovered in space, wonderful, ... and at h Persei (NGC 869) and Chi Persei (NGC 884) in Peseus I stopped for a long time to look. A great starry night :)
