Title: Altocumulus undulatus
Post by: Tangled-Universe on November 11, 2018, 06:07:09 PM
Little to no attention for aesthetics, just some research on how to get undulating cloud ripples with gradient steps.

Oh very interesting. Are you creating and stepping the gradient I assume? Or is this a image map?

Really nice. I assume Martin is mixing shifted sinus versions of an X to scalar, then warp, or some other combi.

Thanks Ulco, glad you appreciate it.
I did not use any sinus function here.
This project will be part of a series of works/techniques I will share in the near future, so I will shed some light on it eventually.

Thanks all!

Great research Martin, can't wait to see where this leads...
