Title: Render Camera settings
Post by: john_knowles on May 17, 2009, 11:16:51 AM
Just a quicky: I can't understand why the position and rotation input boxes on the Render Camera options box are not labelled. Have I missed a labelling options box?

It doesn't seem to follow the convention 'x,y,z', can anyone help me figure out a) what they are, and b) why they're not labelled (I tried hovering for context help - no joy) in my version of TG2 deep.

I know this is simple stuff, but it's pretty fundamental to an effective UI. Apologies if I've missed something in haste.

it is xyz, however you must think in the same unit the program uses, in terragen it is: y is vertical, x is width, and z is depth into the screen.

for the rotations xyz its pyr: pitch yaw roll, in degrees.

We do need labels in the UI for the coordinates, but I think neuspadrin explained the potential issues you're having. All of this stuff will be covered in the soon-to-be-available User Interface Guide, which regrettably has not been available to help new users with this sort of thing thus far.
