Title: My First Video Tutorial
Post by: fmtoffolo on February 23, 2007, 09:24:57 PM
Hey, today i was bored so i decided to make a video tutorial about the fake stone shader in order to get some micro detail as well as a nice general form and have more control over both aspects. That way you can achieve rocks like the ones i attached

here's the tutorial

Any feedback is welcomed, cause after all is my first one  ;)
bye!

Thanks for sharing!  That stone you posted does look pretty darn good.  I'm sure this will be a big help for people getting to know TG2.

;D very nice of you to do a tut on this; its too bad the resolution its too low to see what you are doing :P one can only guess what values are you entering on the dialog boxes.

Well, the video shows the network pretty well.  If you want to provide a sample .tgd file with the video, it could give people insight into the process (the video) and into the final product (the .tgd).

It will be much better to show them how its done than to share the file (very generous) so they build up a learning curve. ;D
You can use free available hosting services to upload the .mov ;) http://www.sharebigfile.com/
