Title: Asteroid

Two seperate renders and a little postwork for levels.  Thank you Pachalmar for your Nebula and Stars clip file.

Very cool formations :).  The colors themselves could use a little bit more contrast IMO.  The starkness of the lighting looks good, though.

Thanks, o_b.  I'm beginning to wonder if I need to calibrate my monitor.  Flat screens can be so weird sometimes.

I agree that flat panels can need calibration (just like any other monitor), but I think the issue here is just that you need a little more contrast to the white stone.

The lighting is very good and "outer-spacey" and the textures remind me of an iceberg picture I did once in TerraGen 0.9! Nice render!

The surface shapes and colours look interesting although there appears to be some ice there so a comet rather than an asteroid.

With no atmosphere to scatter light the shadows should be very stark with lots of contrast.  The only light in the shadows should be reflected from areas in light.
