Title: sunset withrays
Post by: groverwa on February 16, 2007, 12:56:35 AM
Gday

This pic was supposed to be for the challenge until I reread the conditions- the terrain is as the original tgd - water and fake stones added - but I changed the sun position - will make another for the challenge

Great job!  This is both beautiful and realistic.

Looks like it was upscaled alot. Looking at the full size shows horrible pixelation.

Where do you see the pixellation?  There's a bit of grain in the atmosphere, but other than that it looks good.

Look at it full size. 10:1 your browser resized it to fit in the window. The full image is 2960*2220 pixels. I could be wrong, but I doubt you have a monitor even close to that resolution ;)

Ah, yes.  Thanks ;).  It does indeed look like it was upscaled.  However, when viewed in the downsampled browser window, it does look pretty good.

Yes I did upscale the pic as an experiment - backfired on me

Still the upscaled version ;) Btw, you can edit the original message, delete the file and upload the new file (just a tip).

Gday  dhavalmistry

Reflection on the water - Make the sun altitude very close to the horizon e.g 2.5 degrees should give the sun reflection across a lot of the water and have a play with the water shader adjustments to give the effect you want and clouds to suit your taste
