Yeah,but there are .3ds also.Some have to be fixed as well.
The most interesting for me was .max too and and i can't open
that either...oh well,they are free at least.
are you sure this site is legal there seems to be a hell of a lot of evermotion vray scenes and a lot of dosch buildings on this site they may all be free samples?

Some of them have missing textures. A pity in the case of this ship model (http://www.3dmodelfree.com/models//20787-0.htm) which has only 16 materials... made for TG ;)

I was so sure I've seen that model before. I looked in some of my older posts and it looks like you can also download that model
right here (http://free-templates-download.com/free_3d_models/3D_ships/)I hope this helps. It doesn't look like there are 16 images here, but maybe you are supposed to use some of them more then one time. I don't know.
