Title: Meet ya half way
Post by: bobbystahr on July 10, 2019, 09:35:47 PM
You'll never do the whole walk heh heh. Just playin around. In this I played around with perception by loading a double tree and used the trunk branches on on in Displacement render mode and the foliage in the other using default. Having well defined displacement on the foreward double tree fools the eye into assuming the bump mapped pop is the same...at least to me.

Tree bark is well rendered. Light is a bit off IMO, but Nice overall scene

Nice scene bobby!
what would you think about setting the shrubs deeper into earth (I guess you used trees for them?)?
Just so deep the branches start coming out directly above the ground...

well the 'shrubs' are in fact the youngest version of the tree pops but I could ...a bit of a time crunch here as I got a gig but I'll see what time Sunday gives me.

...absolutely accepted! -- gig has top priority :)
