Title: Saving a Planet object as a TGO
Post by: rcallicotte on January 24, 2007, 02:35:05 PM
Does anyone know about this?  If we could do this, we could populate the object.  Or is this old news?   ???

Do you know how?  I haven't seen any way to do it.  If I could, then the sky would be the limit of the objects we could make and use for populations.  I even created a rock population in space and that doesn't work.

I've read LWO exports fine, but I haven't been sure until now that TGO objects aren't permissible.  Maybe later.  That would be incredibly useful.

Here's what I've done.  Two asteroids and counting.   :P

You can't save just any shader as a TGO, only object shaders can be converted at present. The geometry export functions are also fairly limited, being either associated with a heightfield or perspective/camera based.
