Title: Moonlit forest
Post by: Alcaeru on October 31, 2011, 08:08:21 PM
Having been reading/using these forums on and off for years I thought I should contribute something myself/get some advice on some of my own images.
Here is an image I made using another planet as a moon and strong light source near the moon to make it give off light. Any suggestions? I don't have the full version of TG2 so I can't render any larger, sorry.

I think you need to calibrate your display. Your render is coming out far too dark. I had to load it into Photoshop and grade it quite heavily to be able to make out any of the forest details. I doubt that was your intention with this image.

It's very dark too here, but I wouldn't be surprised if he went for a silhouetted look here.

Windows 7 has a very good calibration program. Oshyan pointed this program out to me some time ago http://forums.planetside.co.uk/index.php?topic=10267.msg106392#msg106392
