Classic Erosion displacement
I had trouble with my fake stones also, not used to finding these altitudes for surface layers being in the negative... ;D
Some erosion renders...
Going to try these at higher resolution or possibly a canyon fly through ;D
I like the top one the best but really interesting clouds in all of 'em
Thanks bobby!
@Dune Thanks for the heads up on the mask for RGB Map
Erosion Classic / Rivers with lake @1
Fractal terrain with a little odd strata and outcrops too
Nice work. Great rocks in the last one
Began this in Beta....Now Classic Erosion Full version I used the Wear map
Unlawful use of intersect underlying. :)
Wonderful...I really really like this....
nice one! ;)
Thanks guys! I think I made a cave way up there, now that I look close at this, gonna have to fly up there and take a gander. :)
Useful information about this great plugin here. Perhaps we could make this a "child" somewhere?

WIP
Thanks to blinkfrog for the plugin! This render uses the plugin twice with six RGB maps with color adjust nodes. I am still adjusting color and settings, but lots of fun!
Dune and Hannes for the flame shader....cut opacity with a power fractal, who knew?
Scorched
good one, your title really says it all...
Some more erosion renders done in Terragen 4 Creative with classic erosion plugin
mhaze Rock Study file share using erosion wear map restricted to min slope and some down cutting and sedimentation.
You get some of the wildest results. Like the sky in the top and in the bottom, erosion.
Nice set, the first one is the most natural looking, that said they all have good qualities about them
Thanks both.....here ya go bobby...combo for ya...hehe :)
Excellent.

perfecto, gracias!
Here is Denis Sirenko's cloud warping method,
2 cloud layers,
warpers scaled to 1/10th all, with transform input,
cloud height 800 and 1200,
altitude 0 and 5. coverage -0.3,
edge sharpness 40 and 50.
density 0.001 and 0.002
For my purposes radius is 10,000.
WIP adding to previous render
Now with 5 cloud layers, 2 for flames, 3 smoke junk, render time at 30 minutes. Adding previous features little by little.
I wonder if some Y stretching may effect a localized cloud like it does a sphere. It stretching the mid area a bit. It would add height to the fire. If not maybe a smaller scale would make more realistic flames with a depth modulator following the flame detail (though this will increase render time).
Yes, it can be done that way. DandelO :)did one of the first that I saw done. I put a link to that file for you in my Scene from the Observatory where you first asked this. The file is in a post titled Sorry Marc_Orange County. It is titled such because he basically destroys Marc Gebhart's trees in a forest fire. I do believe file was done around the time of one the US west coast famous forest fires.
I know the type stretching you mean like some do tree bark or wood planks, PFs are very useful, hey? Of course ya gotta have some noise.... :)
Still using Denis Sirenko's nebula warp
Erosion Classic flow, wear, and water maps to RGB
masked fake stone distribution
Needs a smoke plume or fumage (just found the files for those :))
Very nice LUVS!
Looks like hell! ;) Cool isn't the right word. Hot!
Looks good.
Thanks all!
Another POV with more maps
New erosion WIP
Changing cloudy sky to sun with soft shadows next render, 45 min render so far , atmo haze at 4
Changed haze and activated soft shadows.
This is an old TG9 terrain, imported for Classic Erosion plugin. Notice I was able to use a single population of trees for the entire terrain. Yay!

The surface shader looks really soft in some spots, but at the same time it gives it a foliage look.
I could imagine you could offset the layer, mask it with some voronoi billows or something, and use a computer normal/terrain to than pinch in the base of the offset to create the look of dense folliage/bushes from afar. Though using normals and lateral displacement would be tricky.
Thanks for the input! Yes this is a pretty bare canvas presently. I have added some displacement to the greener areas so far. Perhaps the browner "wear" is a little strong. I was sort of going for a deforestation look and for scale it is not quite right. I just hate trees that look like dots, but for accuracy I shall reduce their size and add some variations.
Rock Face for TG4 free version by Dune
Erosion Classic plugin Trials of erosion on columnar rockface will continue. I also changed some variables in the node setup just for fun.
Third one is nice. You got rid of the nasty laterals that are visible on 1&2.
Looks good. I like number 3 and 4 especially.
Springtime in erosionville
TG Creative presets
wood anemone tgo
campanulus tgo
Mr. Lampost bush 01c tgo
This one is really nice, except for the flowers. They are too big and a too defined spot, IMO.

Really well done. Ditto on the flowers. Maybe some more colour variation on the bark of the trees. It looks a little solid, and maybe too bright so shadows seem strangely lit.
PS this reminds me of those old documentary scenes from the 90s, I expect a T-Rex to come walking out into the clearing at any moment...
Voronoi Triceratops skin

Voronoi Triceratops skin
Rawr! Lol Haha that's not bad. I thought it was a original texture.
Thanks WASasquatch! This time I did a little more fiddling. I am just messing with the merge shader and scale. Skin/hide is the basic voronoi cracks clip with a couple PFs thrown in for color blending. I may try a more tropical plant setup with the old prehistoric tree files ....just havin fun.
the T Rex looks better but not overly fond of the Triceratops, maybe too much bump, and maybe add a wee bit of bump to T Rex as he seems to need detail.
An old tgd file by WASasquatch, Bulbous cracks. Ran this through some mild erosion WIP
Here I halved or doubled the x,z values in vector constants for the voronoi noise
Slope contraints, fuzzy zone adjustments snow layer
I shall try some trees up top next...
Made a little muddy creature with Blender 2.79 skin modifier. just some little scaly crawler. Crustified protective hide.
Still an erosion scene with Danill's Classic Erosion.

Clearly Displaceasaurus Magnificus
Exactly! Thanks WASasquatch! ;D
So here is another Classic Erosion with rivers.
Frontier 4.3.09 TG4 trying the new layer displace and color enhancements . very early WIP
MPD0.6 AA 4
A little bit of everything
4 tree populations
painted shader masking (I tried using the rivers color layer as a mask with no luck. Does this need a color adjust node before piping to density node of tree object?)
Depends. If your river color is very dark, it wouldn't mask much. White is obviously masking most, so you should try to turn it as white as possible.
The last one is an interesting POV on that valley. Go on :)
