Here's that project I needed a model of the Death Star for. It's pretty cool. I know the sound of the explosion is considerably delayed. Remember, light travels faster than sound, so you'll see the explosion before you hear it.
EDIT: Forgot link. Here it is:

Actually, you shouldn't hear sound at all...but that's no fun, unless it's 2001 :)
But what about on the Death Star? Or the planet? :D
"In Space, no one can hear you scream."

Sound doesn't travel in vacuum.
As previous poster said, they can't hear you scream in space.
It's just a video. The sound delay wasn't because of sound/light speed difference, but because I originally had a crappy explosion in there that synced pretty good, but then after making the newer, better explosion, the sound got delayed. And I know that sound doesn't travel in space. It's just a scifi-type video. The sound/light delay was just an excuse for not fixing it. Have any of you seen it?
If it matters i have seen it. The parts on the lava world are too long. I would trim the video to 1/3 at least .
But keep working . It is good to practicing .
Kadri.
It's pretty hard to trim it. Turns out I didn't save the original mswmm file and then Movie Maker froze. I had to shut it down with the Task Manager and when I started it again, guess where the project file was? >:( That's right. It was on that planet in the video. :D Luckily, I had saved the video itself so I could import the whole video and then delete parts. But now I can't fix the sound delay. :(
Sure you can :)
Import the video twice on two separate channels, disable the audio in one channel and the video in the other.
:)

I find star was utterly stupid.
if you want to have a 'real' scifi experience read The Night's Dawn Trilogy by Peter Hamilton its brilliant
As a sci-fi geek myself i find 90% of the genre stinks. As for Star Wars IMPO Empire Strikes Back was the only real good one. It was dark, the characters suffered which you felt for, well paced and just worked. Of course it helps when you have a good screenplay, director and actor improvisation involved. What ruined ROTJ was those frakin' Ewoks, thanks Lucas. As for the pre-equals, they were utter crap.
The ewoks were annoying, but kids like them. Jar Jar wrecked the new films for me.
A good Ewok is a dead Ewok.
After he kills Jar Jar .
Is this turning into a "who would win a fight" thread. LOL. ;D
Ja-ja vs an Ewok, well if the Ewok was pissed >:( enough I'd go with the Ewok otherwise Ja-ja would talk it to death lol
:)
Richard
Jar Jar would trip over an Ewok like an idiot, then get pummeled by Ewoks. Emperor Palpatine could then blast Jar Jar with Sith Lightning. ;D
I think a Care Bear could kill an Ewok. ;D

Ja-ja ftw ! ;D
On the video - if you need a two-minute buildup to tell a 30-second story, you've got a good recipe for a perfect disaster. Sorry to say it that harshly, but that video should've been 50 seconds, tops.
