Title: Software Inventory
Post by: jaf on February 26, 2018, 11:18:22 AM
I've started creating a software database for my computer -- name, company, install path, config path, 32/64, etc.)  I was wondering there's an app that scans your computer and outputs a list of apps and info about each?  I've done a few searches with not much luck so far.

No.  I could use uninstall programs to get a list of app names or Revo Uninstaller with a list and data, but it's not text that can be cut and pasted.  It is very time consuming searching and typing each piece of data.  A system info program can generate a list of hardware and system software that can be cut an pasted into a text file.  Then editing the text file for not needed data, adding delimiters where appropriate, and importing into the database.
