hi there,
attached you see an image with heavy grains. which setting exactly is responsible for reducing this and increasing the quality?

Atmo quality settings might help. Try setting the samples to 64.

Or even up to 128. Higher values are - according to Oshyan (http://www.ashundar.com/forums.php?m=posts&q=3386) - not in relation to render-time.

I've read that the sunrays can cause problems with quality like that.

thanks for the info. i increased details, and samples for the atmosphere. now its rendering:)

It looks like a combination of cloud and atmosphere sample increases would give best results. It would help to know what your sample settings were for this image.

i guess it was the standard/initial settings. after rising the sample and detail settings it rendered quite nice. ( http://forums.planetside.co.uk/index.php?topic=608 )
