Title: output a cropped image
Post by: sardie on December 15, 2016, 04:04:08 PM
I'm looking to have a cropped output of 4096x1024 of the top half (sky) only.

I've selected do crop region, and set the bottom to 0.5 - when I change the image width/height I assumed it would apply this to the crop region only. I found out of course, it does not.
No matter, if I want 4096x1024 i would simply render 4096x2048.

What bothers me is that it does not crop the 0.5 half of the image in the output - is there a way to achieve this or will I need to manually crop the bottom out?

Thanks!

To achieve this you need to render from the commandline and use the -cropoutput option. Please look in the Terragen installation folder, in the /Docs subfolder for commandline reference with more details.

No problem at all, it's not obvious in the UI. It's considered a more advanced option, which is part of why it's only in the commandline version for now.
