Too late I realize the center front outcrop is not a light, EDIT: well maybe it is, but used the carpaint tgc by Hannes on this one. Newspaper clip from family album. US engine, but not so different.
I am trying to do some spotlight headlights for a night train scene but all I get is grain noise. Is micro detail 0.6 enough?
Engine 446? I think you once said you were in Ireland. Is that where the last image comes from?

No, I am a Yank. My pa was a yardmaster at a switchyard for 40 odd years. This photo is from 1949. Lots of railworkers in the family going back. I said my gramps was in LeMans France in WWI doing translations for troops as he spoke French. Most of his time was spent at the railway there.

ok, Thanks for clarifying. Reason I asked was because I tried to model this locomotive, or one identical to it, several years ago. I'm pretty sure it carried the 446 designation and was a steam engine, and was thinking that it had operated in US.
Yes, I have been out of it for a few days and actually got this model last week and meant for archonforest to see it as I think he might like it. Just trying to be helpful and share resources. :)
I found another model of an old French engine as well and may do something with it too.
I don't really speak "train", ha, but I know there are many many types of engines that have progressed over the years here in the states. :) I remember my brother getting called for certain train numbers, which designated the route back in the day.
