I know that this is nothing new but here's my go at a big storm cloud.
they really ARE big!...good job....foreground could use some work....
Very realistic, great work. How thick did you make your cloud layer? Agree with dhavalmistry about the foreground. Keep it up.
Richard
also I want to add that it would be a good idea to turn on the option of "Flatter base" if its not on already
I wanted to keep it simple but I know what you mean, the grass is just a little bit uniform. To be honest I didn't spend all that long on this other than the final render and I just let my PC get on with that while I was at work.
Cloud altitude = 2048
Cloud depth = 3072
Edge sharpness = 100
Cloud density = 0.005
Nuts to that here's the clip:
Not bad :).
Sorry the clip is only the BIG clouds; you don't get the cirrus or the naff grass :D
Ha ha hah...... Funny bunny.
Great work tho.
I turned around and looked the other way then did a quick test render with a flat base ;)
This has possibilities 8) ignore the pants mountain on the left.
This set of clouds are quite realistic, I'd add some smaller details but otherwise they are great!
and I would also turn off that cirrus layer.....its a good thing that you turned around :D
niiiiice
Lampost - these are very nice. Realistic clouds are critical, I think.

You have the clip ;D
No seriously points taken. The cirrus is there to fill a nasty blue void in the original image, which did at one point have smaller details but they were spoiling the central lighter billow.
Turning round was just to see what another view at the clip was like but I did save that version, a total accident but i like the general composition of clouds and foreground hill. I can hide the nasty mountain with a few trees, I may try out mr-miley's Horsechestnut. This will have to wait as I am working on another project just now. Well I will be if I stop looking in here ;D
I didn't see that until now. Thanks! These are awesome clouds.
