Post by: cyphyr on September 11, 2008, 06:05:19 PM
Hi gang

I've uploaded 3 Scotts Pine Trees for your rendering pleasure.

Copied from the included readme:

Thankyou for downloading the Scotts Pine set of High Resolution 3D models.

These models are in .tgo format so will only work in Terragen 2. I dont think there are any file converters available at the moment to work in any other format. If you need them in another format please contact me via the terragen forum.

All models are copyright © Richard Fraser 2008 and may not be sold or redistributed in any way. If you wish to link to the file directly please use the link provided on the terragen forum.

You are free to use these models in any personal, commercial or govenment project with out charge. If you create anything that you'd like to share with me I would be very happy to see them used, feedback is always great!

Included in this file:

These are pretty nice, what were you using to model them at that time. I am guessing Xfrog?

Glaad to see these are still proving useful.
They're are old models but I think they were modelled in Lightwave using a plug-in called treeDesigner.

Seems I'm pretty good at bringing the past forward...I just love digging around here. Takes some time but every 'dig', to use an archaeological term, yields some gold.....

and for those looking for trees and have lightwave there are 5 samples for download at the treedesigner page. I got the .fbx(converted with DAZ4) and except for the pine which needs a specific needle U/V map, a general U/V map and a varied greens image map does good for the decidious ones as the have nice leaf shape.
