Based on an older render and as a test for GI cache back then...some glitches here and there, but didn't feel up to rendering it again as it still took quite a while despite the GI cache. Framerate has been lowered and interpolated using Kronos, done by DutchDimension. Thank you very much Danny!
https://vimeo.com/41156266 (unfortunately Vimeo totally whacked the video)
Nicely done :)
I remember this from a little while back as being "crisper". Is the Vimeo whacked quality responsible for the "softness" or is that down to Kronos interpolation?
Richard
Thanks Richard,
That's mostly from Vimeo's compression unfortunately :(
I suppose as a premium member you will hav more control over that?
No idea, it would be nice to think so ...

Nice animation Martin !
Looked like that there could be a narrator coming at any moment from the corner :)
The canyon is very detailed, T-U. Your deserts always look real to me.
Quite nice. One thing that's good about Vimeo is it does allow you to (optionally) download the original file that was uploaded. I do see softness in the original as well, so I suspect it's due to the processing, or perhaps just the low-ish resolution. It would be amazing to see this at 1080p! What were frame render times like Martin, do you recall?
Also, while the slow camera is cool, I would *love* to see a "pod race" style fast camera move through there with lots of crazy turns and fun motion blur. :D

I was looking for Rango. Where is he? ;D
Nice canyon and good surface work as usual. Some rolling tumbleweeds and some geeky characters running around...maybe next time. :P
Good job. And glad you're posting.

Me, too!
Beautiful work. Am saving for T2/Anim. ;)
