Hi,
I was asked quite often these days how I achieved the lighting and the surfaces in the render 'Canyon Impression'.

So I made a small workflow:

Thanks for the great job. ;D It has to be put in the Sticky "TG2 learning center" of this section of the Forum. I had been touched when I saw your image on Rosity and your efforts to make this little tut are very appreciated :-)
Bernard
Thank you.
Let me just add that this image, although simple (in the final result) is incredibly beautiful!
Cheers
Luis
I am particularly impressed by the look of the displacement along the overhangs on the left side, it looks very nice!
That PDF file is handy...
OMG, Thank you.
Great work and thank you keep up the good work :)
Regards,
Will
Ditto!!!
A few links in the PDF don't work. Links to 'this tutorial' do nothing for me.
Thanks 3DGuy, I have modified the original post and added the links. I bet you already know these ,-)
Volker
Incredible job! This will make canyon designing much easier!
I'll add this to the TG Resources Site (http://tgresources.meltingice.net) in a couple of minutes ;)
This is beautifull.... Thanks for sharing this with us... I have learnt a lot from this tgd. And I thought I was getting the hang of Canyon/Strata.
This would have been very helpful before I did mine ;D; nevertheless its a great piece of work I will study your settings closely.
Thanks Pal
Could you create a tutorial on how you tiled the textures?
Thanks a lot for sharing your knowledge and files.
Thank's a lot for sharing this with all users!
