Something darker once in a while. Watch where you step :)
This was really painful to get rendered as sometimes I got render errors right after prepass.
Objects used: Marc Gebhart's winter trees, dead pine and tree log. Mr. Lamppost's bushes with leaves removed.

Delightfully gloomy!
EXCELLENT render :) :)
this is my kind of gloomy, creepy swamp
The only thing missing is a bog beast (bigfoot). Great mood and image!

oh, i'm sure its in there, its just hiding... :D :D :D :D :D
Nice. All that is missing is a reaper on a boat
Nice and creepy. I like this render a lot.
A thoroughly unpleasant scene! I do NOT ever want to go there. It looks absolutely awful, its dark, wet, dank and moody, you can almost smell the decay!! And I'm pretty sure there's something behind me but I just don't want to look!
Urughhh, shiver, shudder !!
On the other hand ...
Great render, extremely atmospheric and very well lit. This would be a great establishing shot for a gothic horror.
Great work, keep it up. I'd love to see this animated!

Nice dark render :)
Thanks a lot for your comments! I'll try to get this crop rendered bigger :)
really cool mood.... looks so mysterious !!
Update with bigger (1920x1080) version. I also changed density of bushes a bit and increased their max scale and scale variation. The log is also moved to the left size. Main reason for render problems was obviously small swap memory size. It was only 2Gb and when I raised it to 8Gb all problems disappeared :)

I found the mysterious mood looking better in the first pic !!
