Title: floating ice
Post by: WeekendPlayer on April 17, 2020, 11:00:06 AM
It's been a while since I posted last image. I haven't used Terragen for at least more than 5 years maybe.

I wanted to make a scene of floating ice. This is my new project.
comments and critiques are welcome! thank you.

Well, good to see you back then!

I would try to get rid of the small spikes outside the ice chunks, and make that open water. And also make the snow/ice itself more shiny. If you made these ice chunks in the water, it is a good idea (and you might have done so) to use a very hard/contrasting low amplitude fractal to mask out the ice chunks from the wavy water, use the smoothing function in that masked surface layer to smooth out the previous waves, and build the snow/ice from that mask onwards.
