Title: snowing
Post by: ADE on April 30, 2014, 01:14:24 PM
thanks to dandelo for an idea using stones as a snow layer, (long story) I thought he meant fake stone shader and apparently it works.
the snow here is a high depth cumlous layer quality almost zero and tweaked within the col cont and roughness

PS ...I am not going to put a badger, deer or anything into this or even a slight footprint

BTW I meant using stones as a snow layer on the "leaf" shader of a tree.....

I like the softness of this scene. But there's a gray cast over the snow that would (IMHO) be nicer if it would sparkle a bit and have some lightness here and there, some sheen, some glitter, some life.

I like this would like to see more small breakup of the shapes of the stream banks.

trees look great... at the bank the snow looks a bit 'foamy' ?... lovely mood though!

Very cool and I hope not to see this recently melted stuff for at least a few months but how did you do the falling snow Ade?
