Title: Cracked Mud WIP
Post by: WAS on June 17, 2018, 12:26:44 PM
Working on next surface shader, though unfrotunately ran into a issue with TG destroying colours if a warp shader is involved. It's not following the mask as it should for wetness borders and crack floors.

Bird skull is from Sketchfab, had no textures so used two PFs, one limited by altitude for tarnishing.

Excellent stuff, love the bird skull addition and detail!
...I see if I can find it over at sf.
:)

Here you go, inky: https://sketchfab.com/models/3e207c2832f44d9f8476b30b9828bc83#

Some others to note for ambience objects:

They got tons of great stuff for personal use to experiment with.

Update without the ugly puddle. I hate that the edges get black.

Forgot to get altitude for Y on the object so it's floating due to displacement changes.  :P

I am just discovering all this so it's really cool what some of these people have managed to scan.

Here is a update with some colour changes, lighting changes, and added displacement to the skull. Also a post work version that uses the photoshop action I shared in discussion.

Absolutely agree: Nice cracks. And an extraterrestrial mood!

I needed some time and to read more to find the scull -- In my eyes it was a long time an extraterrestrial amphibian with a long tail (the nose)... Could have been from "Pitch Black" ;D
I really must have a totally twisted mind. ;D

I haven't seen that movie since I was a teenager. Going to have to watch it today if I can find it.

Thanks everyone.

Some scene testing. Having issues with weird speckled shadows on the surface created by the pond lip. Had to change my sun so it cut out most the casting shadows.
