Not to go off topic, but how are you liking what you got calico? I've been thinking about getting somethng from xFrog sometime in the future because all I have right now is a mix of different types of plants that people have shared (and of course, the free xfrog plants). needless to say, this makes it more difficult to get very unified looking plant life.
NVSeal, not to keep pimping Dryad, but its free and you can make some incredible foliage with it. I was about to pay $500 for Onyx Tree Garden Suite, but I am holding off now that Dryad is available. So far, I've been able to make the type of foliage I really wanted.
Just create a tree or plant you're happy with, export it, hit the randomizer, export another, etc. until you have a few different models of the same tree. Open, then resave each of them with Poseray (so TG2 will like them), then import one into TG2 and dial in the surface shaders. Once this is done, create a clip file of these surface shaders, save it, then save the model as a .TGO file. Then load up the next model, and connect this clip file you just saved, but change the colors slightly. Do this for each model, and you'll have plenty of sweet looking varying foliage for your scene.
