Title: A TRUE twist controller
Post by: moodflow on March 01, 2007, 02:59:47 PM
Anyone know of a way to truly 'twist' terrain (or clouds) without using masking?  I think this feature would lend to amazing effects.

Yep the warp setting in the clouds gives you that tornado effect... I used it here ...

You can download the .tgd from there to see the settings..... I was just wanting to see what changing the warp would do to your cloud.

I saw a tutorial on how to make a ring of cloud to sit around a mt peak.  I can't for the life of me remember where!!  Maybe someone else has seen it, it was VERY interesting!  The writer tells you how to position the clouds and everything.... fabulous!  Good luck - I look forward to seeing what you come up with.   ;D

The warp shader might be interesting, too.

Aply two fractal shaders to its inputs. The 'Shader input' of the 'Warp Shader' seems to need displacement activated in the Power Fractal.
